Blackfalds Food Bank Society

Turning hunger into hope by empowering our community to aid those in need of food support through educational programs and awareness of hunger related issues.

Blackfalds Food Bank acts as a bridge between our community and those in need by seeking, receiving, and administering donations from individuals, groups and businesses, and distributing those resources to the less fortunate members of our community. We also provide referral services to other agencies that might better serve the needs of our members.
We cater to those in a variety of situations, ranging from single-parenthood, to seniors on fixed incomes, to the under or unemployed, or to those with other social or economic barriers. We have been providing emergency food services to citizens of Blackfalds and area since 2001. Since then, we have grown exponentially as the community recognizes, assesses and attempts to satisfy the needs of those in crisis.
