CALGARY BACH SOCIETY

The Calgary Bach Choir consists of adults from all walks of life who are passionate about the music of classical music’s greatest composer, Johann Sebastian Bach. We promote an appreciation and enjoyment of classical music to the general public, with a focus on the Baroque period (1600-1750) and the music of J.S. Bach, his musical predecessors, contemporaries and heirs. We strive for musical excellence in our performances. We provide experienced, auditioned, amateur choral singers with an inspiring and challenging opportunity to immerse themselves in this wondrous music and to experience the thrill of performing it with professional musicians for the public. We also nurture the next generation of artists by providing scholarships and performance opportunities.
