The Rocky Museum invites all visitors to "Step Into the Past!" by providing an engaging interpretation of the vibrant history of the Rocky Mountain House area. Through our collections, research and educational programs we serve the community by preserving our unique history.

The Rocky Mountain House Reunion Historical Society is the governing board overseeing the operations of the Rocky Museum in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The Rocky Museum is a Recognized Museum within the Alberta Museums Association. The standards apply to practice in the areas of: Non-profit making; Permanent institution; In the service of society; Open to the public; Acquires; Conserves; Researches; Communicates; Exhibits. The Rocky Museum, open since 1983, showcases the history of the pioneers who homesteaded in this area, worked in the lumber camps and sawmills, and sent their children to one-room schoolhouses. The Rocky Museum offers adult and school programs, and accepts bookings for group tours. The archives are open to family history searchers, as well as scholars.
